With the success of the ClearDryve 200, Rand McNally wanted to create a smaller on-the-ears model of their headset. Working as a part of Knack Design Studio, I helped to develop the ClearDryve 50.
The ClearDryve 200 was used to guide the overall design language of the smaller headset.
Various directions were explored in sketch form and in 3D to reach the best solution.
The final design takes what is great about the ClearDryve 200 and delivers it in a smaller package for those who prefer on-the-ear headphones.
