This series started as one sketch created for the Facebook group Sketchwars. Everyone has seen juicy sneaker sketches, but I'd never seen high heels sketched in a way that is engaging to the viewer. Most high heel sketches look flat, and don't consider the way the shoe will look on a woman's foot.
It is important to show what the design looks like in context, while still keeping focus on the shoe. This is what drives the style of a quick and emotional render of the shoe, with an almost ghosted in foot. I had a lot of fun designing the first pair of heels, and it got a great reception on Sketchwars, so I have continued sketching them in my free time.
